Maybe it's because of all the upcoming exams, which is probably the reason, or because of all the new things happening in life. Not saying that it's bad. It's probably one of the better things in life. The new things. But I'm digressing.
People probably have different versions and feelings of it. Personally it's a feeling where everything in life feels worthless and unimportant. You ask yourself why you spent so much time on these things. All useless. You need something in life to keep you going, something which promises fun, and enjoyment, even if but a short time only. Something material or immaterial, something to keep you "alive". Then frustration sets in, you think of the consequences of not doing [whatever it is that you're supposed to do], and you want to do it, but you don't want to. Conflicting emotions. Then it all goes away, eventually. When you concentrate on something else. Something happy.
Some people feel it early in life, these people are hardworking. They have a serious attitude on life from the very start, which brings the feeling. But then again it's not such a good thing. We all should be enjoying our childhood, after all it's a genuine once in a lifetime experience. Make the most of your childhood, be happy, have fun, make friends, enjoy yourself. Having it at a young age.... not good. A wasted time of your life, unable to rewind the clock, the feeling of regret will tear away at your heart forever.
Others, get it in the teenage years. After puberty. More or less. Now for most people it will be the first time, or maybe it's just me. Not being a typical hardworking person can do that to you. I guess. During these years most people look happy and contented, but this is just a front for what they are feeling. Inside. Everyone needs someone to talk to, to explain this kind of feeling. To get reassurances and comfort from a close friend. Not parents, but thats a personal opinion. Parents are just too pushy, and sometimes they just don't understand you. Not respecting privacy. Mostly. Either that or blog. Not saying that I don't tell anyone. I do. Or at least I will. Blogging lets people know how you're feeling. Just letting them know makes you feel good already. Without needing a reply. But replies are better. Always. Most people feel it during then as a result of more examinations. The need to excel. Striving for accuracy as they say.
Then there are the lucky ones. Maybe unlucky. Depends on what you think. Who get it only later in life. After officially passing from boyhood to manhood. Magic 18. Now either they are lazy, or just too smart. Whichever it is, I think it will hit them hard. Very hard. If you have been living the perfect life, where everything is bliss, then suddenly all the happiness is gone. Like a snuffed out candle. You're instantly in the dark, with nothing to guide you. No experience to save you. Afraid and alone, falling from such a height is just sad.
Finally. The ones we call "amazing". Those who never get it. Life is just perfect for you. Then again all you really need to be happy is good company. Thats all. Regardless of the situation as long as you have friends. Good friends. If you have spent all your life not feeling this way, congratulations. One in a billion. Probably one in a googolplex. Never mind what that is.
This may not be a perfect post, but at least I'm satisfied. Mostly. Have fun reading.
